Product Description
This is our standard Apple Crate which is the Double slat. It's made of solid Pine Wood and is pinned and glued together using exterior quality glue.
When stacked; each Crate interlocks with the one below which we believe is a unique feature.

Also available are the Single and Triple slat versions.
Traditionally Apple Crates have corner blocks which stand above the top slat; unfortunately this arrangement allows one crate to slip off the one below it.
The difference between ours and the traditional Apple Crate is that our Crates lock into each other; so when they are stacked; lets say in the back of a truck; they can’t slide off each other. When our Apple Crates are being moved across the packing shed floor; they stay in a stack. Also when they are ‘in doors’ they can be stacked with a much reduced chance of them falling over even when pushed.
Shortly there will be a roller platform with wheels; on which our Crates interlock making movement much easier.
Deliveries are charged at £1 per crate.
